2017 Gerries & Juvies

The 2017 Gerries & Juvies Throwdown is a co-ed Master (40+) / Open (39 & younger) team competition. One team member must be 40 or older and the other 39 or younger (on the day of the competition). It does not matter which partner (male or femaile) is the “gerrie” or the “juvie”!

There are only 2 divisions for this competition – Rx & Scaled.

Space is limited to 50 teams! Cost is $125.00 per team now through March 25th. After March 25th registration will $140.00 per team. Registration includes a seriously cool t-shirt.

    Team Squat Clean Ladder

    1:30 Time Cap for Max Weight Lifted

    For this workout partner 1 will start on his/her respective start line. On the count 3,2,1 go the athlete will start the ladder. Athletes must start with the first bar and continue the ladder in order without skipping any bars. The time cap for this workout is 1:30 total. Once partner 1 is done/satisfied they must run to the opposite end to the finish line and on top of their plyo box before partner 2 can start the ladder. Partner 2 will start with the first bar in their ladder and continue through to the time cap. Score for this workout will be the total combined weight lifted by both athletes.

    There will be a time bonus as follows:
    If either Partner 1 or partner 2 completes the entire ladder: 5 points
    If both partners complete the entire ladder: 10 points

    Men’s Bars:
    Rx: 155 – 165 – 175 – 185 – 205 – 215 – 225 – 245
    Scaled: 105 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155 – 165 – 175

    Women’s Bars:
    Rx: 95 – 105 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155 – 165
    Scaled: 85 – 95 – 105 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155

    14 Minute Time Cap:
    100 Wall Balls
    80 Alt. DB Snatches
    60 Handstand Push-Ups
    40 Calorie Row
    20 Burpees
    Rx; Scaled
    Wall Ball: 20/14; 14/10
    DB Snatch: 50/35; 35/20
    HSPU; HRPU

    For this workout the team works together to complete the designated reps per movement as quickly as possible. Partners may split up the work any way they like, however each partner MUST DO 50% of the reps per movement. All reps must be completed before moving on to the next movement and only one partner may work at a time. The reps are total per team.
    HSPU will be performed using two 25# plates with an ab-mat sandwiched between them; scaled division will perform hand release push-ups.

    Score = time completed or total number of reps if you do not finish before the time cap.
